(Edit>Import PICT imports from the clipboard). I opened the screenshot in Preview and used the area selection tool (Command 3) to select the area I wanted to import, then copied it to the clipboard. I took a screenshot (Command Shift 4) of the area including the field and the ruler line. In Google Earth, I navigated to an image (a local football field inside a track) and used the ruler tool to draw a horizontal line 400 feet long close to the field. What I just tried (I'll try to be brief): (It is sometimes nice to have the main straight lines horizontal and vertical because selection rectangles generally have to be.) Rotating these images doesn't work, however, so it may be useful to rotate to the desired orientation in Google Earth before you create your image, if that matters. The Edit>Import PICT option will bring in an image that can be moved and scaled and can be in color. By taking a screenshot at scale from Google Earth and preprocessing in an image editor, though, it is the way I usually work. The TIFF option must be black and white or grayscale, will be located with the lower left corner at the drawing's origin and cannot be scaled or moved, so it is probably not the option for you. (PICT may have changed to PDF that's what it is on a odern system, but at least on my version of CADintosh, the English localization hasn't caught up.) I am aware of two ways to bring an image into CADintosh, File>Import TIFF… and Edit>Import PICT.
